Recipe from: a gingerbread factory in Leavenworth Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional) |
3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste i usually do 1/2 cup) |
1/3 cup margarine (or butter or shortening) |
3/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven for 350*F 2. cut together first five ingredients. 3. Slowly add milk and mix it inches. 4. Form dough into a ball like lump. 5. Put dough onto a floured surface. 6. Pat it down and divide it into two separate lumps about 1/2 inch thick. 7. Cut each lump into fourths and make wedge-like shapes. 8. Put on lightly greased baking sheet and cook for 10-12 minutes. |
