Breakfast Sausage Patties

A great addition to any breakfast. Much tastier then the storebought kind.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp fennel seed
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl combine pork with all of the ingredients.
2. With a fork, mix to blend thoroughly.
3. Divide mixture into 8 equal portions.
4. Flatten each portioned section into a 4-inch round patty.
5. In a skillet fry each side for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
