Breakfast muffins with cinnamon and nutmeg. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter - softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg, well beaten |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup milk |
1 1/3 cup sifted flour |
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
topping |
melted butter |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add beaten egg and mix well. 3. Sift dry ingredients together 3 times 4. Add alternately with milk and vanilla to sugar mixture 5. Fill greased and floured muffin tins 2/3 full 6. Bake at 400 F about 15 minutes or until light brown. 7. Remove from pans, dip in melted butter. 8. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. |
