Breakfast muffins with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter - softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1 1/3 cup sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
topping
melted butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add beaten egg and mix well.
3. Sift dry ingredients together 3 times
4. Add alternately with milk and vanilla to sugar mixture
5. Fill greased and floured muffin tins 2/3 full
6. Bake at 400 F about 15 minutes or until light brown.
7. Remove from pans, dip in melted butter.
8. Roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
