From Evelyn Raab. Love this for daylight savings when we sleep through our normal breakfast hour! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1/3 cup milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 cup quick oats |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup raisins |
4 cups cheerios toasted oat cereal |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. In a large bowl, beat together the first 6 ingredients until smooth and creamy. 3. Add flour, oats and baking soda, beating until combined. 4. Stir in raisins and cereal (it will be stiff). 5. Roll about 1/3 cup at a time and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Pat the balls firmly, then press down to flatten slightly. 6. Bake 13-15 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. |
