A new twist to Fried Rice. The mixture of bacon and onion are a match made in heaven! Try the bacon & onion with mac & cheese, wow! Ingredients:
1 lb. bacon |
1 medium onion chopped |
2 cups minute rice |
2 cups of water |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut the bacon into 1 inch pieces and fry in 10 inch skillet. 2. Place water into a small sauce pan, follow the cooking directions on the box of rice. 3. While the bacon and rice are cooking chop the onion. 4. When the bacon is crisp add the onion and cook until tender. 5. Drain off bacon grease 6. Return to skillet and add the cooked rice 7. Stir and serve 8. Cheesy scrambled eggs compliment this dish. |
