These are a great way to start your day-they aren't crumbly, so these bars are the perfect on-the-go breakfast for little hands to grab on their way to school, or for bigger hands on their way to the office! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats |
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup flour, all purpose |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, oil, milk, and vanilla. 2. Seperately, combine flour, oats, and salt, then add to egg/sugar mixture. 3. Stir in raisins and walnuts. 4. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes, or until set. 5. Optional: press mixture into greased or parchment lined baking dish, and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until set, cutting into bars for serving. |
