Our morning rendition of an eggel bagel from the local bagel bakery. Say that five times fast! Whew! Ingredients:
two everything on 'em bagels or bagels of your choice, sliced in two horizontally. |
four slices thick bacon |
cream cheese - philly is the best |
two slices american cheese (optional) |
two eggs |
two slices tomato |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon to your liking. I like it crisp, drain on paper towels and keep warm. 2. Fry eggs medium, you don't want them too soft or they will end up all over you. 3. Toast bagels lightly. 4. Spread each inside of bagel with cream cheese. 5. If using American cheese, place one slice on bottom side of each bagel. 6. Place fried egg on top of American cheese. 7. Place tomato slice on top of egg. 8. Place two slices of bacon on each tomato slice. 9. Place top of bagel on the bacon. 10. Slice in half. Yes, the cream cheese will ooze out or you didn't use enough! ;) 11. Enjoy while hot with a great cup 'o joe. 12. You can also add some lettuce for a breakfast BLT. |
