Bread Stuffing for Turkey |

From my very old Kosher cookbook, p. 470 Ingredients:
4 cups stale bread cubes |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon thyme, marjoram or 1/4 teaspoon sage |
1/2-1 teaspoon poultry seasoning |
1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
1/4 cup melted chicken fat |
1/3 cup chicken stock |
Directions:
1. Combine bread, seasonings and onion. Slowly add chicken fat, tossing lightly with a fork until blended. 2. For a more moist stuffing, slowly add the hot water or stock. 3. Allow 1 cup stuffing for each pound of poultry. |
