Holiday favorite. Your typical bread pudding recipe with a kick! Ingredients:
12 slices of egg bread (day old, or place slices in 350 oven for about 3 min) |
8 eggs |
3 c.milk |
1 c. cream |
1 1/2 c. sugar |
1 stick butter (melted) |
2 t. cinnamon |
and cinnamon to sprinkle |
___fruit choices |
1/2 c. raisins |
2 bananas |
1/2 c. cranberries |
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans |
3-4 apples peeled and sliced thin |
1/2 c. raisins soaked in 1/4 c. rum overnight (awesome!) |

3/4 c. brown sugar |
1/4 stick butter (melted) |

Directions:
1. Spray a 9x13 pan real good 2. Break up bread into lg bite size pieces 3. put into pan 4. Sprinkle fruit of your choice, or mix more then one 5. Sprinkle with cinnamon 6. Drizzle melted butter over bread 7. Mix eggs and milk and cream together 8. add 2 t. cinnamon 9. stir 10. pour over bread and fruit 11. let set for 10 minutes 12. place uncovered in oven 13. bake at 350 14. check in 50 min 15. and then 10 min intervals 16. May serve with powder sugar mixed with maple syrup to make an icing consistency 17. Brown sugar mixture 18. Best if served warm 19. Enjoy! |
