This is one of my favorite comfort foods and it is good hot or cold. I serve mine warm with either Whipped Cream on top or some of my own vanilla sauce. Ingredients:
10 slices cinnamon-raisin bread, broken up |
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs with milk. 2. Add sugar and nutmeg to the mix. 3. Pour over broken up raisin bread in 9 x 9 baking dish. 4. Add slices of butter on top. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. |
