2 eggs, well beaten |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 cups milk |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
4 cups old bread |
1/2 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Put the bread cubes and raisins in a large bowl. 2. Pour 1/2 cup milk over the bread and raisin; set a side. 3. Beat into the eggs, the sugar, the remaining 1-1/2 cup of milk, and nutmeg. 4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes and stir. 5. Pour it into a buttered 1-1/2 quart baking dish. 6. Bake at 350°F about 25 minutes or until done. 7. This recipe came from Pennsylvania. |
