This is a bread to make sunflower lovers sing. The sunflower seeds impart a lovely, subtle taste and a lovely chewy texture. Toasted, this bread does wonderful things with fruit and jelly, and it will breathe new life into that predictable cheese sandwich. Next time I will toast the raw sunflower seeds. I did not bake this bread in the bread machine, I took it out after kneading and baked it in a bread pan. A good tasting bread! Ingredients:
3/4 cup water |
1 3/4 cups white bread flour |
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
1 tablespoon dry milk |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon butter |
2 tablespoons honey |
1/4 cup sunflower seeds |
1 1/4 teaspoons fast rise yeast or 2 teaspoons active dry yeast |
1 1/4 cups water |
2 1/2 cups white bread flour |
3/4 cup whole wheat flour |
2 tablespoons dry milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons butter |
3 tablespoons honey |
1/2 cup sunflower seeds |
2 teaspoons fast rise yeast or 3 teaspoons active dry yeast |
Directions:
