this is a recipe that I found out on the web... I'm not sure where but it sure looks good... I like my pumpernickel bread with raisins in it rather than the caraway seeds... but that is a local favorite maybe... Read more when I was upstate in NY the bakeries had never heard of such a thing!!! I was beginning to think I had made it up..LOL Ingredients:
1-1/3 cup strong coffee |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup molasses |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 cup rye flour |
2 cup bread flour |
2-1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds |
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa |
1-1/2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1-1/3 teaspoons salt |
2-1/2 teaspoons bread maker yeast |
Directions:
1. Fill and bake according to bread machine manufacturer's directions
