I have no idea why this is called a Brazilian Omelet. Unusual combination but very tasty. We like it for dinner usually. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
salt and pepper to taste |
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons butter |
3 oz package cream cheese, cut in thin slices |
1 medium ripe avocado, cut in thin slices |
4 strips crisp bacon |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. In medium bowl mix eggs and spices. 3. In 10 inch broiler proof skillet over medium heat, heat butter until bubbly. 4. Pour in egg mixture; cook 3 to 5 minutes, until bottom is set. 5. Place cream cheese slices over half of the omelet. 6. Broil in preheated oven until cheese is soft. 7. Remove from broiler and arrange avocado and bacon over the cheese. 8. Fold and serve immediately. |
