Brazil Nut Butterscotch Crisp Candy |

This is incredible. I love Brazil nuts and the combination of them and butterscotch is phenominal. Enjoy. Ingredients:
1/2 pound butter |
1 cup sugar |
6 ounce package butterscotch pieces |
3/4 cup very finely chopped brazil nuts |
Directions:
1. Line jelly roll pan with aluminum foil then set aside. 2. Put butter in 2 quart saucepan and melt over low heat then add sugar. 3. Put candy thermometer in pan and stir over moderate heat until mixture reaches 300 degrees. 4. Remove from heat and spoon evenly into foil lined pan. 5. Cool 5 minutes then scatter butterscotch pieces evenly over candy. 6. As soon as they are soft about 4 minutes spread with back of teaspoon over entire surface. 7. Sprinkle evenly with chopped nuts then chill until firm and break into pieces. |
