Bratwurst And Shrimp Boil |

Everybody loves a shrimp boil. This one has a great combination of flavors - just toss it all in a pot and you've got a filling dish for any day of the week. Ingredients:
1 (19 oz) package beer brats |
1 pound shrimp, peeled |
1 onion, cut into quarters |
8 cups water |
2 pounds small red-skinned potatoes |
5 ears sweet corn, split in half |
2 (12 oz) bottles of beer |
1 lemon, cut into halves |
3/4 cup crab boil seasoning (i used old bay™) |
melted butter, and lemon wedges |
Directions:
1. Preheat the grill to a medium heat and grill brats until just browned. Cut into 2 pieces. In Bring onion, water, beer, seasoning and lemon to a boil in a 10-quart pot. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Stir in the corn, cover and cook 3 minutes. Finally, add the shrimp, cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes (or until shrimp is done). The sausage internal temperature should reach 160 degrees F. Serve the boil with melted butter and lemon wedges. |
