Brandied Cranberry Toddies |

A nice drink to enjoy in front of the fire while the snow flies. Ingredients:
3 cups cranberry juice cocktail |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 1/2 inches piece gingerroot, thinly sliced |
4 inches cinnamon sticks |
1/4 cup brandy or 1/4 cup cognac |
Directions:
1. Mix in heavy saucepan the juice, brown sugar, ginger root, and cinnamon stick. 2. Bring to a simmer and cover pan. 3. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes. 4. Strain into a heatproof pitcher. 5. Stir in the brandy. |
