this cherry sauce is so simple to make. and is great over ice cream or the almond pound cake. it makes 1 & 1/2 cups of sauce prep time does not include the overnight chill time. Ingredients:
1 package ( 3-ounce ) dried bing cherries |
1/2 cup cherry brandy |
1 cup honey |
Directions:
1. in a small bowl... combine dried cherries and brandy.
2. cover and let stand at room temperature overnight
3. stir honey into cherry mixture.
4. cover and store in refrigerator.
5. serve chilled or at room temperature with cake and/or ice cream..
6. this yields 1 & 1/2 cups...
