2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice |
1 cup dark sweet cherry, pitted (fresh or frozen, thawed) |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon brandy |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, cornstarch and allspice in a medium skillet. 2. Stir in cherries, water, brandy, and lemon juice. 3. Stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. 4. Serve warm. |
