BRANDIED CHEDDAR SPREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Roark Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
1 pound sharp cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons heavy cream |
1/3 cup brandy |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
3 tablespoons butter at room temperature |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Put cheese through meat grinder then combine cheese in bowl with remaining ingredients. 2. Mix well and chill at least one hour. |
