Sweet, healthy candy-like bread. Almost like a fruit cake but won't be a doorstop. Filled with heart-healthy fiber, protein and yummy fruits, its a great alternative to waiting for Christmas. 1/2c wheat flour |
3/4c wheat bran |
1/4t baking soda |
1/4t baking powder |
1/4c raisins |
1/2c chopped walnuts |
2t ground flax seeds |
1/2c diced dried dates |
1/2 medium banana, chopped |
1t blackstrap molasses |
2t oil |
1/2c water |
1/4t apple cider vinegar |
Directions:
1. Meausre and put dry ingredients into bowl, then mix well. 2. Add remaining ingredients and mix again. 3. Pour into greased muffin tins or mini loaf pan. 4. Put in 350F oven for 25 minutes, testing doneness with a toothpick. |
