Healthy version of a South African treat. Most people dunk them in tea.
Ingredients:
1 cup oil
1 kg flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
6 cups bran
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 cups water
Directions:
1. Mix wets.
2. Add dries.
3. Press into a large baking pan, and bake at 180 C for 40-60 minutes.
4. Break into roughly 4x2x2' pieces.
5. Dry out slowly in the oven until hard all the way through.
6. Store in an airtight container.
