Healthy version of a South African treat. Most people dunk them in tea. Ingredients:
1 cup oil |
1 kg flour |
4 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp salt |
6 cups bran |
1 1/4 cups brown sugar |
3 eggs |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Mix wets. 2. Add dries. 3. Press into a large baking pan, and bake at 180 C for 40-60 minutes. 4. Break into roughly 4x2x2' pieces. 5. Dry out slowly in the oven until hard all the way through. 6. Store in an airtight container. |
