Bran Muffins (Pre-1940's)

This recipe included in my “Grandma’s Wartime Edition Cookbook”
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups natural bran
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons melted fat (butter)
1 1/2 cups milk (sweet)
Directions:
1. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
2. Blend with bran and add dry ingredients.
3. Add the milk beaten egg suagr and butter (fat).
4. Have a thick but a moist batter.
5. Grease a muffin pan.
6. Bake 30 minutes.
