Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk |
1 cup shreds of wheat bran cereal |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, beaten |
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
Directions:
1. Pour milk over cereal in a small mixing bowl; stir to blend. Let stand 5 minutes. 2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. 3. Make a well in center of flour mixture. Add cereal, egg, and butter; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. 4. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately. |
