This is a great way to us up left over cereal. I use the mini wheat fines at the bottom of the box. Ingredients:
1 cup bran flakes |
1 cup milk |
2 t shortening |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup flour |
3 tsp baking powder |
Directions:
1. Add bran to milk and soak 5 minutes. 2. Cream shorteing and sugar together. 3. Add egg and beat until smooth. 4. Add bran mixture, add dry ingredients. 5. Stir only enough to blend. 6. Drop from a spoon into greased muffin tins, filling each 2/3 full 7. Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes |
