This is my mothers recipe for bran muffins which we have found keep well and are lovely and moist. It was given to my mother by her sister. Ingredients:
1 cup natural bran |
1 cup flour |
20 g butter |
1 teaspoon golden syrup |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup milk |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. Put bran, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking soda into bowl and mix. 2. Melt butter and syrup add milk and egg and add to dry ingredients. 3. Lastly add baking powder and baking soda. 4. Put into tin I use the Texas muffins and bake at 200°C until cooked. |
