Bran Muffins - very healthy Ingredients:
1 cup all-bran cereal |
1/2 cup boiling water (mix in all bran cereal and set aside) |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup fresh applesauce |
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups all-bran cereal |
2 eggs |
1 pint buttermilk |
1 cup raisins (or more) |
1 teaspoon cinnamon (to taste) |
1 teaspoon nutmeg (to taste) |
1/4 cup flax seed |
Directions:
1. Boil water and pour over 1 cup All Bran Cereal - set aside. 2. Cream applesauce, sugar, eggs 3. Add dry ingredients. 4. Add buttermilk. 5. Mix. 6. Add Raisins. |
