All-Bran recipe for muffins. The first time I made these (in 1970) they were overcooked and my dad said I could kill a bear with them. We lived in Yosemite at the time. We still call them bear biscuits. Love them with winter soups. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups all-bran cereal |
1 1/4 cups milk |
1 egg |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Mix cereal and milk and let set for about 5 minutes until cereal softens. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Spray muffin pans with Pam or use baking cup liners. Bake 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. |
