Eaing celery is good for people w/ high blood pressure, and most recipes show celery in the the background, but now it is the star! Ingredients:
1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces |
2 tbsp. chopped garlic |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
i cup low sodium chicken broth |
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. Arrange the celery w/ garlic in a single layer on the bottom of a large skillet. Season pepper. Dot with butter. Add chicken broth and pour over the celery. 2. Cover pan, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley before serving. |
