When I get Bok Choy, I either make a salad or I braise it, with ginger and garlic, and lots of soy sauce. Easy and quick side for most chinese dishes. Ingredients:
6 baby bok choy |
1 tb peanut oil |
1 tb ginger, minced |
1 ts garlic, minced |
2 tb soy sauce |
Directions:
1. Half bok choy lengthwise and wash thoroughly, there is always sand hiding between the stalks. Heat oil in a wide pan, saute garlic and ginger for a minute or two. Add bok choy, with some water still clinging to the leaves and braise, on medium heat for 4 - 5 minutes. Add soy sauce and cook some more, until the sauce start clinging to the stalks. Put into serving dish and drizzle with the sauce from the pan. |
