BOURSIN CHEESE SPREAD WITH BLACK PEPPER This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dalton Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
3 cloves garlic minced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature |
1/4 cup butter at room temperature |
2 tablespoons finely snipped parsley |
2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. In small bowl make a paste with the pressed garlic and salt. 2. Combine with cream cheese, butter, parsley and pepper until smooth. 3. Cover and store up to two weeks in the refrigerator. 4. To serve transfer cheese to a 2 cup ovenproof bowl or ramekin and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. 5. Serve with crackers or croustades. |
