This is the same blend of what you would find in the store. Ingredients:
2 tablespoon fresh chives |
2 tablespoon fresh parsley |
1 1/2 tablespoon fresh marjoram |
1 tablespoon fresh basil |
1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon thyme |
1 each clove garlic |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Chop the herbs and garlic in a food processor; add pepper. To make spread, 2. add 1/2 cup blend to 8 tablespoons softened butter (or margarine), 1 pound 3. softened cream cheese , and whirl until blended. Chill in refrigerator for 4. several hours. Store in freezer for up to 3 months in an airtight 5. container. The herbs can also be stored frozen in butter; then add the 6. cream cheese just before serving. If frozen in butter; then add the cream 7. cheese just before serving. If frozen, thaw in refrigerator, and then 8. reblend with an electric mixer before serving. |
