I love this recipe for chicken wings and I hope you do too! You can shake them in the flour and bread crumb mixture or bake them plain. Either way, they are delicious. Ingredients:
24 chicken wings, cut at joints |
3-4 tablespoons bourbon |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon peel |
juice of 1 lemon (about 2 to 3 tablespoons) |
1/2 cup fine, seasoned bread crumbs |
1/2 cup all purpose flour |
1-1/2 tablespoons sweet hungarian paprika |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut chicken wings at the joints. 2. Toss away the tips or reserve for broth or stock. 3. Combine the wing joints, bourbon, olive oil, garlic cloves, lemon rind, and lemon juice in a bowl or a zip lock bag. 4. Toss to coat the wings and marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. 5. Mix the bread crumbs, paprika, salt, and pepper in a plastic bag. 6. Drain the wing joints and toss them in the bread crumb mixture. 7. Place the wings on a foil lined baking sheet. 8. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes. Then place under broiler until crisp and golden, about 4 minutes on each side. 9. Chicken wings serve 2 - 4. |
