Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup whipping cream |
2 tablespoons bourbon or whiskey |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat; whisk in flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 5 minutes. Stir in sugar and cream; cook, whisking constantly, 3 minutes or until thickened. Stir in bourbon, vanilla, and nutmeg; simmer 5 minutes. |
