It goes really well with Holiday Ham, I was looking for a raisin sauce for easter ham and didn't like the recipes I found so I made this one up and everyone liked it. Ingredients:
1 cup raisins |
1/4 cup jack daniel's tennessee sour mash whiskey |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar |
2 1/4 cups water |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
Directions:
1. combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.
2. over medium heat whisk until butter melts and sauce thickens about 5 minutes.
