BOURBON MINT CARROTS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pusey Estate in Plano Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
3/4 pound carrots cut into 2 long pieces and thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons bourbon |
1 tablespoon water |
1 tablespoon butter |
2 teaspoons fresh mint finely chopped |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Place carrots, bourbon, water and butter in a medium saucepan. 2. Cook over medium high heat 5 minutes then stir in mint and season with salt and pepper. |
