A great appetizer Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef |
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs |
1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
2 tablespoons chili sauce |
1 egg |
1 (12 ounce) jar pineapple preserves |
1/3 cup chili sauce |
1/4 cup bourbon |
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400°F. 2. In large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients, mix well. 3. Shape mixture into 1 1/4-inch meatballs. 4. Place in ungreased 15 x 10 x1-inch baking pan. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. 5. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, ombine all sauce ingredients and mix well. 6. Cook over low heat until mixture is bubbly, stirring frequently. 7. Add cooked meatballs to sauce, stir gently to coat. Makes 48 meatballs. |
