I was craving bratwurst and shrimp so decided to throw them together for something exotic. I really can't decide if it's Creole or Asian but it sure is yummy. I served it over rice. Ingredients:
1 lb jumbo shrimp, cooked and peeled |
1 lb bratwurst, cooked and diced |
1 bell pepper, diced |
1/2 cup olive oil |
2 garlic cloves |
1/2 cup onion |
1 cup apple juice |
2/3 cup soy sauce |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 tablespoon ginger |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large skillet. 2. Saute oinion,garlic,and bell pepper for 5 minutes. 3. Add bratwurst and shrimp and stir in remaining ingredients. 4. reduce heat and cook for 15 more minutes. |
