quick and easy to make, only mixed the beans because that is what I had available. The amounts work out to about 3 cups cooked if you cook dry beans yourself versus canned. All of the seasonings are to taste, but using the full 1/4 tsp of cayenne will give it a little bite Ingredients:
1/4 cup molasses |
1/4 cup bourbon |
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can red beans |
0.5 (15 ounce) can black beans |
1/4 lb bacon |
1/2 onion, diced |
2 tomatoes, diced |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne |
1/4 teaspoon celery salt |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. cook bacon to desired color, save 1 tsp drippings. 2. add bacon and drippings to all remaining ingredients in square baking glass. 3. bake at 350F for 45 minutes. |
