Another goodie out of my much beloved cookbook, Dining with Diane - The Austin Restaurant Cookbook. It's so yummy I just sat with a few breadsticks and ate it as a dip. Ingredients:
2 cups mayonnaise |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
juice of one lemon |
1/2 oz worcestershire sauce; (1 tablespoon) |
dash tabasco sauce |
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic |
freshly cracked black pepper; to taste |
1 egg yolk |
1/4 cup buttermilk |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup olive oil |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together except the olive oil. 2. While blending mixture with a beater, slowly add olive oil until oil is incorporated. 3. Makes about 3 1/2 cups dressing. |
