Another goodie out of my much beloved cookbook, Dining with Diane - The Austin Restaurant Cookbook. It's so yummy I just sat with a few breadsticks and ate it as a dip.
Ingredients:
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
juice of one lemon
1/2 oz worcestershire sauce; (1 tablespoon)
dash tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
freshly cracked black pepper; to taste
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup olive oil
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together except the olive oil.
2. While blending mixture with a beater, slowly add olive oil until oil is incorporated.
3. Makes about 3 1/2 cups dressing.
