Boston Baked Lentils Ingredients:
2 1/3 cups lentils, rinsed & sorted |
5 cups water |
1/2 cup molasses |
2 tbsp brown sugar |
1 tbsp vinegar |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 tsp mustard, dry |
1 tsp worcestershire sauce |
16 oz tomato sauce |
1/4 cup onion, minced |
1/4 tsp liquid smoke |
Directions:
1. add lentils to water, bring to boil & simmer for 30 min. or until tender but still whole 2. drain any excess water from the lentils 3. stir the remaining ingredients in with the lentils 4. turn the mixture out into an ovenproof casserole & bake at 350 F. for 45 minutes |
