I love baked beans, every way you can bake them, in the oven, on the BBQ and slow-cooker. just every way you can have them, and here is one good recipe that I found, you shoud try it. This is a no-fail way to make baked beans. No soakng overnight, no parboiling, and in the end, a delicious home cooked flavor. Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups dried beans |
1 1/2 cups chopped onions |
4 cups water |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1/3 cup molasses |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
12 teaspoons brown mustard |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine beans, onion, and water in a 3 1/2 quart slow-cooker. Stir cover. 2. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Add remaining ingredients and stir. |
