tasty side dish for steaks, roast or chops. Ingredients:
6 medium onions, peeled and cut in 1/2 inch slices |
1/2 cup dry white wine |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons corn syrup |
2 whole cloves |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
Directions:
1. Place onions, wine, salt, corn syrup and cloves in a saucepan. 2. Simmer at a low heat until tender (about 20 minutes). 3. Blend flour and butter and then mix into onions to thicken. 4. Remove cloves before serving. |
