John Wesley Boog Powell was an all-star first baseman and American league MVP for the Baltimore Orioles. He now has a BBQ joint right outside Camden Yards, where the Orioles play. I use the rub on just about anything I BBQ. It’s especially good on ribs and smoked butt. I like to put it on a day in advance, if I can.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon white pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground red pepper
1 tablespoon cumin
2 tablespoons paprika
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
2. Apply liberally to meat of your choice.
