A hot coffee drink popular in Italy during the winter, especially in ski resorts. Bombardino is Italian the bomb and is made with equal parts of brandy, Advocaat or Vov (an egg-based liqueur), and espresso or hot coffee. Variations are made with rum or whiskey. See my Homemade Advocaat Advocaat (German Eierlikor). Ingredients:
1 part brandy |
1 part advocaat (or eggnog) |
hot espresso coffee |
whipped cream, to serve |
Directions:
1. Place brandy and Advocaat in an Irish coffee mug. 2. Top up with hot espresso or hot coffee, give a stir and adjust to your taste. 3. Serve hot with whipped cream on top. |
