A tasty and nutritious cheeseburger alternate that is fast and easy. From FNC iMag. These can be served on their own or on a bun. I like using toasted ciabatta bread/buns with lettuce and tomato. Ingredients:
2 (4 1/2 ounce) envelopes of herb & garlic tuna |
1 cup breadcrumbs, divided |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup fat free ranch dressing |
1/4 cup green onion, sliced |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
Directions:
1. Combine tuna, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, cheese, salad dressing, green onion and egg in medium bowl; mix well. 2. Form into four patties; coat each side with remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs. 3. Heat oil in non-stick skillet over medium heat. 4. Cook patties for 3 to 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. |
