I have had this recipes for years Easy and elegant type of filled yeast cake . Please be sure to let dough rest overnight as instructed! Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
1 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp mace |
1/4 lb butter |
1 cup cream |
3 egg yolks |
1/4 cup milk |
1 cake yeast |
3 tbs sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt and mace. 2. Cut in the butter. 3. Beat yolks with sugar and add to flour mixture with cream. 4. Dissolve yeast in the warmed milk. 5. Add to first mixture,blending well. 6. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight. 7. Turn dough out to floured board and roll out. 8. Spread with a filling of choice. 9. Roll up and place dough in a greased bundt pan and let rise 2 hours in a warm place. 10. Bake in a 350F oven about 30 minutes or done. |
