My favorite new york style cheesecake. Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese |
3 eggs |
16 ounces sour cream |
1 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Blend the above well. 2. Spray the inside of a large springform pan with Pam. 3. Make a nice thick graham cracker crust following your favorite recipe and press into the pan. 4. Then pour the cheesecake filling into the pan. 5. Place a shallow pan of water on the lower rack of the oven, with the cheesecake on the upper rack directly above it, on the middle level of the oven. 6. (The steam in the oven prevents the cheesecake from cracking). 7. Bake at 375°, for 30 min. 8. ,and then, WITHOUT OPENING OVEN DOOR, turn off the oven and leave cheesecake there until the oven is cold. |
