Homemade tea cakes are one of the most wonderful cakes to me...They remind me of the past and bring back alot of good memories.... Ingredients:
1 tablespoon shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 1/4 cups sifted flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/3 cup milk |
1/2 cup blueberries drained |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, sugar and egg. 2. Sift flour with baking powder. 3. Add dry ingredients alternating with milk; mix well. 4. Carefully stir i n blueberries. 5. Pour into greased and floured 9 in cake pan. 6. Bake at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes. 7. You can dust with powdered sugar if desired once its turned out on cake plate.. 8. Serve with whipped cream. |
