Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) package frozen blueberries, thawed |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup water |
6 whole cloves |
1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon |
1 whole nutmeg, cut in half |
3 cups brandy |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cook over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and let cool. Pour blueberry mixture into a 2-quart jar. Add brandy; stir well. Cover tightly, and store in a dark place at room temperature at least 2 weeks. Shake jar gently once daily. 2. Pour mixture through a wire-mesh strainer lined with 2 layers of cheesecloth into jars, discarding solids. Cover tightly. Store at room temperature. 3.
